Dalian will build a nuclear energy heating demonstration project

Recently, Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. and Liaoning’s largest heating central enterprise, State Power Investment Northeast Electric Power Co., Ltd., signed a cooperation agreement on the construction, operation and maintenance of a nuclear heating demonstration project, marking the Nuclear energy heating at the Yanhe Nuclear Power Plant has entered a stage of substantial advancement.

The two parties stated that they will jointly plan a new chapter in nuclear energy heating cooperation, create high-quality demonstration projects, and jointly promote the implementation of the new concepts of "zero-carbon heating towns" and "beautiful countryside" in towns around the Hongyan River. Landed.

This nuclear energy heating project is located in Hongyanhe Town, Wafangdian, with a pre-planned and designed heating area of ​​242,400 square meters. According to the work arrangement, the project is planned to start off-site in June this year, and will be able to heat the surrounding Hongyanhe Town during the winter heating period this year.

After the project is put into operation, it will become a demonstration project for nuclear energy heating in Northeast China and will make an important contribution to the ecological environment of Northeast China, especially Dalian City and Wafangdian City.

Based on the calculation of the pre-planned heating area, the project will reduce coal consumption by 12,100 tons per year, reduce smoke and dust emissions by more than 209 tons, sulfur dioxide by more than 60 tons, carbon dioxide by more than 14,000 tons, and nitrogen emissions. More than 85 tons of oxides and 0.26 tons of ash were produced, with significant environmental benefits.

Hongyanhe nuclear energy heating is a national policy requirement to promote clean heating in the north. It is also a people’s livelihood requirement to improve the local ecological environment, benefit people’s livelihood, and create a “beautiful countryside”.

In recent years, Hongyanhe Company has been actively researching and promoting nuclear energy heating work. In the future, we will continue to strengthen cooperation with relevant parties. While doing a good job in heating surrounding towns, we will also explore the feasibility of nuclear energy heating in more fields and a wider range, and make greater contributions to the realization of the "double carbon" goal.
